Mickey 17 Movie Trailer: Yesterday the announcement and today, finally, Warnes Bros. has distributed the first full trailer of Mickey 17, the latest science fiction work by the award-winning Bong Joon-ho, freely based on the novel by Edward Ashil entitled Mickey7. This is the synopsis of Mickey 17: The unlikely hero Mickey Barnes (Robert Pattinson) finds himself in the particular circumstance of serving a boss who demands a definitive commitment at work … that is, dying, to live.c
The plot of Bong Joon-ho’s new film is still shrouded in thick fog, even if it is possible to assume that it could roughly follow that of Edward Ashil’s novel:
“Mickey7 is the seventh clone of a “disposable” employee in a human expedition sent to colonize and terraform the ice planet Niflheim. After each disposable employee dies, they are replaced by a new iteration that retains most of the memories of the previous one. During the mission, Mickey 7 disappears and is believed to be dead, so he is replaced by clone #8. Mickey 7 must keep his existence a secret, otherwise he could be captured and destroyed for the recycling of his proteins.”

Mickey 17 is directed by Bong Joon-ho, who is also the producer together with Dede Gardner, Jeremy Kleiner, and Dooho Choi. The cast includes Robert Pattinson, Toni Collette, Steven Yeun, Mark Ruffalo, Holliday Grainger and Naomi Ackie. The film is distributed by Warner Bros. and produced by Offscreen, Plan B Entertainment, and Kate Street Picture Company.
The premiere of Mickey 17 in Italy is scheduled for January 30, 2025, while in the USA it will be released the following day.
